The Blackshear Presidential Fellowship, named after esteemed Bankruptcy Judge Cornelius Blackshear, now retired from the Southern District of New York, provides both waived conference registration and a stipend for reasonable travel/hotel expenses for five up-and-coming minority bankruptcy practitioners (with five to ten years of experience) who wish to attend the annual meeting of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges and who otherwise meets the selection criteria.
