Fort Lauderdale, FL – February 5, 2026 – Zach B. Shelomith, a dual board certified bankruptcy attorney with 28 years of experience, announces the evolution of his boutique bankruptcy practice to Shelomith Law, reflecting the firm’s growth and vision as a leading resource for complex bankruptcy and insolvency matters across Florida.
The rebrand marks over two decades of building a sophisticated practice representing debtors, creditors, and fiduciaries in high-stakes bankruptcy cases throughout the Southern District of Florida and beyond. Shelomith Law handles the full spectrum of bankruptcy work, with particular emphasis on complex Chapter 11 reorganizations, Subchapter V cases, Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors, consumer Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases, bankruptcy litigation, and creditor and interested party representation.
“This rebrand represents both continuity and evolution,” said Shelomith. “We’ve built a practice over the past two decades that thrives on handling the complex, challenging matters that require both technical expertise and strategic thinking. The new name reflects our identity and our commitment to being the go-to resource for sophisticated bankruptcy work in South Florida.”
Shelomith is one of only a handful of attorneys in Florida that is board certified in both Business Bankruptcy Law and Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification. He is ranked in Chambers USA and Best Lawyers, and was named one of the Top 100 attorneys in Florida by Florida Super Lawyers. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the Debtor & Creditor Rights Section of the Broward County Bar Association and is a Past President of the Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida and former Chair of the Bankruptcy Section of the Commercial Law League of America.
“The complexity of today’s bankruptcy cases, whether it’s a multi-creditor Chapter 11 case, a contested adversary proceeding or a difficult consumer bankruptcy case, demands both depth of experience and strategic vision,” Shelomith added. “We’ve assembled a team capable of handling these matters at the highest level.”
The firm has expanded with two talented associates: Abegay Taylor, who graduated cum laude from Florida International University College of Law and previously served as a Trademark Examining Attorney at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and Dustin Piercy, a Florida International University College of Law graduate who participated in the FIU bankruptcy clinic and interned with the Office of the United States Trustee.
