McLaughlin & Stern is pleased to announce that our West Palm Beach bankruptcy partner, Steven S. Newburgh, was the recipient of the first Chief Bankruptcy Judge’s Pro Bono Award in the U.S. Southern District of Florida. A luncheon honoring the award was held in Miami on November 3, 2017. Mr. Newburgh was nominated by two federal bankruptcy judges and several members of the bankruptcy bar. The nominations were submitted to a formal committee prior to the selection of Mr. Newburgh as the first recipient of this prestigious award. Mr. Newburgh is a Director on the Board of the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida and is the Pro Bono Chair for the Palm Beach Division of the Court.
